Hooley’s Driving School was established in 2005 by former Greater Manchester Police Officer Colin Hooley.

Colin spent nearly 30 years in Greater Manchester Police before retiring in 2001. Many of these years were spent in the Traffic and Motorway divisions of the GMP.

It was therefore a natural progression after retiring to use this expertise to teach people of all ages to drive which also allowed him to continue his desire to make our roads a safer place to be for everyone.

Colin qualified as a DSA instructor in 2002 and has an excellent success rate with his students. Following qualification Colin spent 3 years with a major national driving school to increase his skills before becoming independent and starting Hooley’s Driving School.
